Ingredients
For the Marinade:
• 500g chicken (bone-in or boneless, cut into medium pieces)
• 1 cup yogurt (curd)
• 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
• 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
• 1 teaspoon cumin powder
• 1 teaspoon coriander powder
• Salt, to taste
For the Green Paste:
• 1 cup fresh coriander leaves (cilantro)
• ½ cup fresh mint leaves
• 2 green chilies (adjust to taste)
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 2 tablespoons water (or as needed for blending)
For Cooking:
• 2 tablespoons oil or ghee
• 1 medium onion, finely chopped
• 1 teaspoon garam masala
• ½ cup cream (optional, for richness)
Instructions
1. Marinate the Chicken
• Mix chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt.
• Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for better flavor).
2. Prepare the Green Paste
• Blend coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, onion, lemon juice, and water to a smooth paste. Set aside.
3. Cook the Chicken
• Heat oil or ghee in a large pan over medium heat.
• Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
